OTHER AUTHORS YOU'LL LOVE
Sean’s best known as a horror writer, compared favourably to Stephen King. But he’s also written some very human thrillers. All of his books are real page-turners.
Currently Canada’s most successful SF writer. You can read about all of his writing and awards on his website, which is maintained by Rob’s wife, SF poet and editor Carolyn Clink. It’s the most informative and rich SF site I know.
A literary writer who veers into science fiction and the paranormal, David’s prose is genius, and he’s a very genuine, warm guy. I was very lucky to have him as a mentor at a writing course.
A lovely lady who puts a rich imagination to good use in her writing, with vivid descriptions that place you right in the scene. Julie writes both science fiction and fantasy.
Mark’s a gifted writer who leans toward horror fiction and non-fiction about the paranormal. A true book lover, he’s worked in the industry for a long time (now helping fellow authors at Kobo Writing Life) and contributes to The Writing Show website.
Peter’s work isn’t what you’d call light-hearted, but it’s grittily real, rich with believable technology, and persistently thought-provoking. His site has some great bonus material about the worlds of his novels.
Karl’s specialty is worldbuilding. The setting of his Virga series has been compared to Larry Niven’s Ringworld for the breadth of its inventiveness. Look for good old-fashioned yarns with modern sensibilities.
Another nice guy and very good Canadian SF writer. His newly-revamped website is full of good content and easy to navigate.
